Man Sentenced To 3 Years for Elder Abuse

The website sfappeal.com is reporting that a San Francisco man – 50-year-old Michael Croslin – is facing 3 years in prison after a conviction of elder abuse and assault. The jury in the case deliberated for two days and the trial itself lasted for two weeks before the sentence was handed down to Croslin.

According to the report, the original crime occurred on October 23 of last year in the victim’s home. The report states that an argument ensued and Croslin attacked a 67-year-old man with his cane. The victim suffered several injuries including injuries to the head. He was still able to contact a neighbor and the police were subsequently notified.

Unfortunately, elder abuse often occurs in varying degrees of severity. In many cases, elder abuse victims are robbed of their finances and their civil rights. However, in other more severe cases, the victims are brutally attacked and often suffer very serious injuries at the hands of their attackers. In any case, elder abuse is a crime that should never occur and any perpetrator of the crime should face the highest possible punishment for that crime. Nobody should ever become a victim of elder abuse in any situation. If you know someone who has been victimized in an elder abuse incident, you can contact Solomon and Relihan to get information on how you can get justice for this crime.
